🚨 GTSA SEASON LAUNCHES WITH DRAMA, SURPRISES & A SEEDING SHOWDOWN AT DAYTONA! 🚨

The long‑awaited
Gran Turismo South Africa (GTSA) Season has officially kicked into gear, and the paddock is buzzing louder than a Gr.1 hybrid at full deployment.
As drivers across the country dust off their rigs and crank up the force feedback, everyone is bracing for the all‑important
Seeding Week, happening 19–25 January 2026.

And if you thought this season would start quietly… you clearly haven’t met the GTSA community.

πŸ”₯ Daily Race C Selected — And It’s a Bombshell Combo!

In a rare moment of unity reminiscent of a perfectly executed slipstream chain, the vast majority of the field agreed on which seeding event to run: Daily Race C.

But GT7/Polyphony Digital added a twist no one saw coming.

The track? Daytona International Speedway — a repeat from previous daily race events.
The car class? Group 1 machines — including the monstrous Vision GT prototypes and iconic Group C legends.

Yes… the same cars that casually hit 380 km/h while your heart rate hits 180 bpm.

The question on everyone's mind:

Will the usual titans dominate once again, or will this wild, unexpected car combo shuffle the leaderboard and reveal a few sleeper talents waiting to shock the field?

This week, every millisecond will matter.

😬 Registration Chaos: GTSA Admin Under Community Fire

No GTSA season kickoff is complete without a little paperwork-induced meltdown.

This year, the registration process caused debate, frustration, and enough confusion to rival a Home Affairs queue on a Monday morning.

Drivers weren’t just registering on one system.
Not two.
But both the DG‑EDGE platform AND the ACGL platform, along with the Regular GTSA Google Form.

The memes practically wrote themselves.

Some drivers joked they were asked for everything except their SARS tax clearance and their grandmother’s maiden name. One even commented, “If I submit one more document, I’m applying for a passport while I’m at it.”

Rumours have also begun swirling about why these new platforms were introduced — with some whispering about… funding allocations. SA humour kicked in quickly:

“Hopefully nothing was mismanaged. We’ve seen this movie before — and Treasury didn’t like the ending.”

🧳 Mystery Briefcase: Mr Pace Touches Down From Croatia

In what has now become the story of the week, Mr Pace — a known figure in GTSA circles — was spotted arriving at Cape Town International Airport, flight from Croatia, sporting a sizable, very suspicious briefcase.

Coincidence?
Unlikely.

Insiders believe it signals incoming announcements from the Admin team. Big ones. Possibly game‑changing ones.

The community group chats?
Absolutely feral.

🚸 Late Registrations, School Lines & More Fashion Than A Runway

As latecomers trickle in after holiday season (and after waiting in those infamous Department of Basic Education queues), we’re seeing a wave of new competitors joining the paddock.

And the paddock…
Oh, the paddock is a sight.

  • Some drivers arrive in full racing overalls.
  • Some in the classic golf tee and jeans combo.
  • And then the Gen‑Z squad shows up in oversized parachute pants and Yeezy‑era torn shirts—declaring it “current fashion.”

One veteran driver simply stared and muttered,

“Back in my day, we dressed normally to race cars.”

πŸ§“ vs. πŸ§‘ The Age Gap Battle: 66 vs. 15!

The driver lineup this season spans generations:

  • Oldest registered driver: 66 years young
  • Youngest registered driver: 15 years old

That’s a 51‑year gap on the grid!

Will youthful reflexes dominate?
Will seasoned experience reign supreme?
Or will the GTSA Race Calendar simply eat all of them alive equally?

Time will tell.

🏁 Final Push: Seeding Week Begins NOW

With Race 1 fast approaching, every driver is entering full sweat‑mode.
Tuning. Testing. Practicing.
Staring at their qualifying delta until their eyes blur.

Meanwhile, the Admin team is rumoured to be preparing announcements that could reshape the season.

I’ll be watching my email inbox like a hawk.

πŸŽ‰ GOOD LUCK TO ALL GTSA DRIVERS FOR SEEDING WEEK!

May your laps be clean, your slipstreams be strong, and your seeding position be higher than your registration stress level.
