πŸš—πŸ’¨ MEET THE TEAM - PEGASUS 9 BOYS RACING πŸš—πŸ’¨

In our latest instalment of the Meet the Team series, we would like to introduce you to a team that does not say much, because most of their talking is done on track.

The 9 Boys racing team, active from 2019 to 2023, was a group of sim-racers who bonded over their shared passion for racing and camaraderie.

They aimed to create a family-like environment where members could support each other and grow their skills together.

This team participated in various competitions, including Gran Turismo South Africa, which is a prominent sim-racing league in the region.

Their primary goals were to have fun and improve their racing talents. By competing in events like Gran Turismo South Africa, they were able to challenge themselves, learn from each other, and enhance their abilities in a supportive and enjoyable setting.

As of 2024, the team had rebranded, remaining with the same driver roster, as well as core values within the team, but a refocus of drivers obligations to help them compete into the International scene as a few of the drivers had moved to greener pastures outside of South Africa's borders.

Along with the rebranding and entering various International competitions, so the Pegasus 9 Boys Racing was born.

Known as a β€œfamily-like” team where members share a deep sense of connection, support, and mutual respect, these are some key aspects that define P9BR:

  1. Strong Bonds: Members of a family-like team build strong, personal relationships. They care about each other’s well-being, both professionally and personally.

  2. Support and Encouragement: Just like family members, team members support each other through challenges and celebrate each other’s successes. This creates a positive and motivating environment.

  3. Trust and Safety: Trust is a cornerstone of a family-like team. Members feel safe to express their ideas, take risks, and make mistakes, knowing they have the team’s backing.

  4. Shared Goals and Values: A family-like team is united by common goals and values. This shared purpose fosters a sense of belonging and commitment to the team’s success.

  5. Open Communication: Effective communication is crucial. Team members openly share their thoughts, feedback, and concerns, which helps in resolving conflicts and improving collaboration.

  6. Inclusivity and Diversity: A family-like team embraces diversity and inclusivity, valuing each member’s unique contributions and perspectives.

  7. Long-term Commitment: Members of a family-like team often show long-term commitment to each other and the team’s objectives, similar to the loyalty seen in families123.

In the context of the Pegasus 9 Boys Racing team, these elements likely played a significant role in their ability to grow and succeed together in the competitive world of sim-racing.

That can be seen in the Multiple Championships and events they have come away with under their old Team name, and with their focus on International events, their hope is to succeed and further fill their trophy cabinet with more memorable moments

With their competitive spirit, and focus on growth, we hope to see the Violet, Turquoise and Black liveries of the team, well into the future, competing both locally and internationally.
