π Bus Stop Chicane Carnage: Triumph Amidst the Chaos at Dragon Trail! π
The Gran Turismo Nations League roared into action this week, and it was nothing short of a high-octane spectacle.
Drivers faced the legendary Dragon Trail Seaside circuit, with its infamous Bus Stop chicane ready to test their mettle.
In their sleek Porsche 911 GT3 Road Cars, some navigated the treacherous turns with finesse, emerging unscathed and victorious.
But for others, the walls proved unforgiving, leaving their mark on both the track and their pride.
Post-race, a visit to CarTease Auto was inevitable for those in need of spare body panels and parts, as the battle scars of the race were all too evident, while others had written off their cars completely and were found outside the circuits entrance, taking the last bus home.
It was a week of triumph and tribulation, where the line between glory and disaster was razor-thin! πππ₯
Despite the chaos, the track was alive with electrifying close racing action!
The paddock buzzed with energy as drivers and spectators alike swapped tales of near-misses and heart-pounding moments, each story more thrilling than the last.
It was clear that the Gran Turismo South Africa Nations League is delivering the adrenaline rush these drivers crave. The excitement was palpable, and the sense of having cheated death only added to the exhilaration.
Safe to say, this league is the ultimate playground for thrill-seekers!
Pool 1
The Pool 1 Aliens this week, saw a number of noticeable absentees from the race, which ultimately means, the next round of the GTSA Nations League will see a very competitive Pool 2 field. Drivers with the likes of VSR_Wolfie, Ghostkilla_Pace, SBR_Ruan and Supermanny were missing in action with prior commitments.
Nonetheless, the field still provided some exciting racing with a mix of strategies,as the drivers tried to navigate a Harsh surface which was destroying soft tyres within 7laps, versus those who were kinder to them making them last enough of a distance to attempt a 1 stop race.
Ultimately, our Nations League leader, VSR_Richard, secured a fairly routine victory and extending his championship lead. VSR_Richard is also at the top of the Manufacturers League table which put him in good standing for the final showdown at season end.
Second place was secured by GT_RSA who provided a brilliant start and strategy to help him stay clear of the rival behind him.
Third position was hotly constested by a number of drivers until VSR_Gilarabrwyn managed to open up enough of a gap in the final laps, as the drivers behind him all moved the barriers at the bus stop chicane a further 2m back.
Rav_Pace managed to capture the fastest lap of the race.
Safe to say, this race was a hub of activity, which the viewers can relive by visiting the GTSA Website where the replay of the race has been made available.

Pool 2
Pool 2 also saw a number of drivers join the missing persons list, most notably SBR_Jacques, Buffelsfontein_, PBR_Pumpkinpatch, PBR_Fastross, LNR_Ronaldeano who was actually at Brands Hatch in a GT3 car for some reason having double booked himself with his teams event on ACC, and RSA_Stigernator.
A new star has seem to emerged, as JensonJ took the chequered flag in 1st position. Jenson has been seen roaming the International paddocks and joined the GTSA league fairly late making his way up the Pools and finally gets to showcase his talents with the top SA drivers. we look forward t seeing what he will achieve.
Further down the field, it was noted that Lag was the order of the day, with drivers having to guess where others were, however, a fairly solitary race saw RSA_Rusty claim 2nd place with a consistent race, keeping his Porsche out the walls and MGR_Lek'wera taking P3 for another bite at the Pool 1 pie.
Pool 2 will be hotly contested next race, we hope the action will be covered by our media team.

Pool 3
The Pool 3 paddock is always an exciting one to be in, drivers filled with promise and determined to have a great race can be seen preparing their cars, always tinkering around to ensure their vehicles are up to par to deliver them that victory they so badly crave.
A number of drivers however had unfortunately damaged their cars beyond repair in Practice and were unable to repair the cars in time to make the race start.
1st place was claimed by Josh_Kwas, who seems to be making a name for himself now with some decent results in the Manufacturers league, whom also secured the fastest lap of the race.
In a tightly contested second place, Styx011 managed to pip Rudi_buys for prime position.
One thing was for sure that battles took place throughout the field, and with the finishing positions as close as they were in this pool, only the bus stop was there to determine where each driver was to end up.

Pool 4
In Pool 4, 3 drivers seemed to have outclassed the field based off their strategy, which can be confirmed, because the winner of this race was on the run 2 weeks ago where authorities were looking for him at Suzuka.
Since then, there has been a settlement that MGR_DC-Gaming-92, who won the event, has been allowed to only be seen either at home or at the race tracks as per Gran Turismo SA calendar. Failure to comply will see the driver back in court.
CAV-R_Shawn secured 2nd place successfully after getting the better of Ken_Dog1969 who found himself caught up in traffic after attempting an undercut on the drivers ahead.
A few of the other top contenders seemed to have not been too settled with the likes of car and track and found themselves in the mid pack, however will the final race not to far away, we should see them at the forefront of the field again.
CAV-R_Shawn also managed to capture the fastest lap of this race.

Pool 5
Pool 5 was occupied by everyone's favorite Host and Admin, Steven Berry.
Mr Berry managed to secure himself a 3rd place podium, in race with Petrie-101 taking 2nd place, 7-seconds ahead.
However the class of the field, and a driver who we also know should be alot higher up on the roster, Pung23_P9BR, took a dominant win and fastest lap, with a consistent drive, with a finish time that would have seen him finishing mid pack in the Pool 1 group.
Nonetheless, the drivers throughout this pool mentioning post-race how enjoyable the race was.

Pool 6 & 7
Pools 6and 7 were combined this week, as alot of the drivers had taken an early sabbatical, from this seasons races.
Unfortunately the expenses of travelling so often, and having not seen any progressive results, they threw in the towel for this race. We do hope that we will be able to field a sizeable grid for the final round of the GTSA Nations League in 2 weeks times.
In the combined group, we saw SN4K13-ZA take top spot and fastest lap, ahead of PORTALIAN404 in 2nd place and MGR-Roadrunner99 in 3rd place.

As the GTSA Nations League season races towards its thrilling conclusion, the anticipation is palpable! With the penultimate rounds just around the corner, we’ve witnessed epic battles and heart-stopping racing action throughout the field.
While some drivers head home to regroup, the true warriors will be seen duking it out at the iconic Goodwood Circuit in their Gr.4 race cars for the Manufacturers League, vying for coveted spots in the Showdown or Wildcard races.
The Spring Showdown looms large, and with Summer on the horizon, drivers are gearing up for one final, adrenaline-fueled showdown.
Buckle up, because this is going to be a ride to remember! π️π₯π
